Cars and trucks are backed up for miles on Interstate 80 in West Des Moines as police respond to reports of a multi-vehicle crash. A detour has been set up directing drivers in the westbound lane to exit the highway on Jordan Creek Pkwy and return at Grand Prairie Pkwy in West Des Moines, according to Iowa DOT. Those traveling westbound should expect delays of around 35 minutes, Iowa 511 reported at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday night. This is a developing story.
